Senior Business Consultant

The Senior Business Consultant is part of the Senior Business Consultant team and reports to the CEO.

Purpose

As a Senior Business Consultant you prospect and develop new business opportunities for suAzio in Life Sciences Markets. Along with our operational team you secure projects are delivered with the highest possible quality standards creating compelling value towards our customers.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income for suAzio in Life Sciences Markets. Lead the identification and prospecting of targets, develop a sales strategy, determine sales messages, manage the sales cycle including RFI and RFP responses and close sales through the contract process. You will perform your own lead generation and appointment setting.
  • Track and report current status of potential projects, markets, customer news, and developments.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with senior clients (VP and C-level) by proactively identifying client needs, business objectives, priorities, capabilities and critical success factors. You have a clear consultative vision and understanding of the client's business, strategy, organization, and culture. You are a trustworthy partner for our customer through your expertise, excellent communication skills and international management experience.
  • Manage the projects towards the customers and ensure the high quality of the outcome together with the operational team. You check proposals with our operational management, brief projects internally and ensure the follow up from a sales point of view. You create unique and compelling value towards our customers by using your relevant expertise to make suggestions, give advice, and evaluate the outcome of the projects.

Qualifications and experience

  • Master degree in marketing, business administration or similar field of study (or equivalent by experience).
  • Proven track of record of at least 10 years in strategic marketing, business development and/or consultancy in the Pharma industry. You have a large network in this area.
  • International management experience, i.e. having lead a team of people in an international context.
  • The ideal candidate has worked/lived in the US and has a thorough understanding of US customs, culture and work ethics.

  • Excellent understanding of Pharma clients and Life Sciences Markets.
  • Perfect English communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation.
  • Outstanding client management skills and strategic insight. Able to discuss at senior level and C-level.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to 'close the deal'.
  • Superior analytical skills. Able to see the big picture while executing details and above all, bring value to our customers.
  • Self-motivated and able to act as a pioneer.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Capable of working independently but able to work as part of a team.

Location

The candidate will be working from one of our offices or from home. Anywhere in the world will be considered.
